Hello everyone!
Thank you for reading this post!
And sorry I know there is a million posts here about these two lenses. I read them all and still it feels like I am missing something. Truth. On YouTube every review on 24-60 feels like they want to sell me this lens. And reviews on 24-70 feeling outdated.

I am buying s1ii for my work. I shoot mostly video, but do photography as well.
So I can't decide what lens do I buy? 24-60 or 24-70 both from Lumix of course, because auto-focus is very important for my video work. And I am also not considering other zooms like 24-105 etc, it has to be f2.8.

My own thoughts:
-24-60 image quality is equal to 24-70. Both sharp. Just 24-70 has this "magic" effect.
-24-60 is small I like it.
-10mm less is something I can live with
-Price fits my budget

-24-70 I like how it looks and more weight might be a good thing for video. |
-24-70 is better build quality, more reliable
-24-70 is old and I have a fear that they will release a V2
-10mm more I something that can be very handy
-Price is at the top of my budget

Most important things:
-Auto Focus
-Image quality (24-60 is sharper, right?)
-Price (I can find the money for 24-70. But for me the price is really high.)

So my questions:
-Which lens is better in terms of auto-focus?
-Is it true that the image quality of 24-60 is really that great just like 24-70 but without this "magic"?
-"10mm less and no "magic" effect. Is the only real differences." - would you agree with this statement?

Especially looking for people who used both of these lenses.
Appreciate your help!

Hello guys!

Sorry. It could be pretty long post, I have to. I am losing my mind literally.
(I CANT RENT AND TRY THEM IN MY AREA).

I am freelancer. I provide photo video for my clients and I work alone pretty much. I shoot basically everything, events/weddings, brand products, studio photoshoots, auto sports, food, real-estate, insta-reels, ads. I agree on everything they want me to do. The point is that this is my work and I am buying new camera for my work.

I have to upgrade my gear. I have been watching and reading a ton of information on YouTube, forums etc. About these two cameras. And I can't decide.

Firstly I am looking for a good video camera (mostly vertical content) low-light is very important! Secondly, and that's still important - photos cause I have a lot in studio photo-shoots.

I know about pros and cons of both cameras. Yet I can't decide. I like them both.
I know that Lumix is better video camera overall. And it looks like an easy pick for me.
But as I said I mostly shoot vertical content for instagram and for that I think Sony also fits.
I really like 6k resolution on Lumix. That means if I shoot low-light I can apply more denoise on post later, because image is sharper and when denoise is applied image looks.. more like low res I guess... you know what I mean.
Stabilisation. I want to try to shoot videos holding camera in my hands.(currently my camera is very shaky and I am using a gimble). Lumix is clearly a winner. But it looks like Sony also has decent ibis(in standard mode). I don't know, maybe Sony's ibis will be enough?!

Lenses is not the point for me. I would't buy Sony lenses. With sony there is only Laowa 10mm AF I would like to have. But it's not a deal breaker. With any camera I am just gonna buy sigma 24-70 and any wide lens.

I like how a7v looks, everyone using sony when they do vertical content. Auto-focus. I would like to have a Sony.
I like s1ii, video capabilities are breathtaking, 6k, better low light after denoise (am I wrong?!) still good photos... (OVERHEATING? LESS BATTERY?) I would like to have a Lumix.

I can't..
I can't decide for weeks and months!! Its literally makes me anxious (I am struggling for real).
I have to decide cause in later May I have a big work and I need a camera.

Gerald Undone said that he would choose a7v. I believe him. :D
Appreciate your help.
