Recently purchased hybrid battery barely affecting total loss value - am I being fleeced?

Hi all,

I recently was rear ended and had my car totaled. The other party was at fault and took liability. I’m currently in the total loss stage of the insurance process.

The other parties insurance offered me an amount of $$$, but this was before I submitted my battery receipt. For context, I owned an older Prius, and had my hybrid battery replaced (very reliable and trusty local shop, 3 year warranty) for $1,500. I replaced the battery exactly 34 days before the accident, so it’s recent.

After submitting the receipt, the total loss adjuster informed me it only increased the value by ~$200 of my total loss payout.

Does this sound right? Should/can I ask for more, or do I have to take their word for it? Apologies, this is my first ever time having to go through this process.
