Ok but THIS fight though
I’ve been an OG fan since the 90s and MK is in my top 3 video game series of all time, having said that, I have to admit that I never liked any of the movies or the animated shows, I think conquest and scorpions revenge, are maybe the best media outside of the games (I think the 95 movie was just alright)
What I’m saying is that I’m not a fanboy who just accepts everything they throw at us, but this movie is by far the best MK movie to date, of course it’s not perfect, the “story” is fucking horrible and some of the acting is laughable
But when it does something right, is goddamn amazing, I’m particularly surprised by the actress who played Kitana, she WAS Kitana, and to me she stole the movie
and my dudes, this fight, holy shit this fight, the 90s kid in me was just immensely happy to see THE freaking Liu Kang and Kung Lao fight, they are one to one who they are in the games, I’m usually a cynic who hates the whole Hollywood shit but they got me with this one, this HAS to be seen in IMAX, there really is no other way to experience this scene
