Is this normal after a Lower Blepharoplasty?

I got a lower blepharoplasty 25 days ago. I’m in the latter half of my twenties and I went to a highly credentialed board-certified ophthalmologist in one of largest metropolitan areas in the US. My doctor went with a transconjunctival approach and only removed a conservative amount of excess fat. I decided to get a lower bleph because I had genetic herniated fat pads all my life, which really bothered me.

Although I’m mostly happy with my results, I’m worried that the approach that my doctor went with has resulted in some unwanted hollowing right under the eye. When I look forward, it looks okay, but it’s as though there is a “new” bag that has formed that reminds me of the Korean “aegyo sal” trend (picture 3). This new bag or “roll” was not present directly under my eye before when I had the excess fat (picture 1). When I tilt my head back and look down, it’s like that “new bag” pushes down into the area where the fat was removed and causes a “cavity” (pictures 2 and 4). It’s not the traditional hollowing along the tear trough, but rather right under the eye.

I’ve also noticed that this muscle right under the eye has been twitching a lot on both sides recently. I looked this up and this is apparently due to the nerves regenerating since behind this area is where the transconjunctival incision was made. The area is also still a bit sore in the morning when I wake up. So, I’m just hoping this is just still residual swelling and that everything will blend as the different “planes” of tissue and fat heal completely.

I know I’m still pretty early on in my healing journey (less than a month) and that they say I’ll only really see the final results after 6-12 months, but I’m kind of scared that I’ve done irreparable damage to my face. Does anyone have any insight into whether this will change?
