Pre-slotted Tusq nut...too low?
Noob here stumbling through my first partscaster build. Had my build set up professionally yesterday and was wondering if this looks like the correct nut height? It seemed low to me when I first installed it but the tech said it was fine. He barely filed the high E nut slot when he set it up so pretty much how it was out of the package.
The amount of relief in the neck now in order to clear the high E string over the first couple of frets has the action pretty high around the 12th fret and up. I imagine it's a case by case basis but is there a general expectation of how high a nut should be on a strat to allow for a good set up?
