Had it on for one day and sweated for a bit and the whole area underneath my armpits is now in blisters.

Hi, I’m thinking of getting my first tattoo but I’m just not sure if I’m ready for it.
For context I’m 18 and I’ve liked the traditional style for a while ( like 1-2 years), i already have a design in mind and i really like it.
I know it’s a little bit of a trendy style right now and i just don’t want to look back on it and regretting it.
Genuinely how do you know when you’re ready for it and not just doing it impulsively?
