For context: I’m 18 and currently a student with a small monthly income (internship + part-time) \~about $1.5k.
I’ve been trying to save money but I keep ending up spending most of it by the end of the month.
I want to start taking saving more seriously and eventually get into investing while saving at the same time, but I honestly don’t know where to start.
So I would appreciate if anybody can advise me on:
\- How much should I realistically be saving at my age?
\- Should I focus on building savings first or start investing small amounts now?
\- What habits helped you save consistently as a student?
\- What methods worked for you?
\- What are the best savings accounts to use?
Any beginner-friendly investment advice (low risk)?
Would really appreciate advice from people who started young or were in a similar situation 🙏
