I finally checked out Kalsang after hearing way too much hype about it.

We ordered: pad thai noodles, veg momos, chilli potato, pancakes, lemon ginger tea + gingerbread cookie.

Here’s the tea (literally and figuratively):

  • Chilli potato – the only thing that didn’t disappoint. Decent, nothing mind-blowing but yeah, it passed the vibe check.
  • Pad thai – super mid. Like… I’ve had way better at random cafés. Also why was there cauliflower in it?? And the veggies were sooo mushy, zero crunch.
  • Veg momos – honestly? kinda tragic. Took one bite and we were done. Didn’t even feel finish them, left on the table.
  • Pancakes + tea + cookie – just… there. Not bad, not memorable either.

Overall, felt like one of those places that runs on hype more than actual food quality. Maybe I expected too much, but this was definitely not it.

Has anyone else had a better experience there or is this the standard scene? 👀
