My fiance received her ILR back in June. We are being told by the registrars that we may still be subject to the 71 day referral period when we register our intention to marry, although the registrar we spoke too seemed quite unsure about this.

From my understanding those with ILR do not need to go through the 71 day process, and it doesn't matter if the way my fiance got ILR is through the refugee route. However, I can't find any clarity about this online and the Home Office are of course very slow to respond.
