Current Limitations or reasons for selling.

While my current setups are capable, I’ve started noticing limitations in low-light performance, lens versatility, and achieving the more cinematic look I’m aiming for. Most of my shooting involves gyms, nighttime urban environments, tattoo sessions, and video-focused content, where my current APS-C setups and slower kit lenses tend to struggle with noise, background separation, and overall image depth. I also feel like I’m splitting my investment across two entry-level ecosystems instead of building toward one stronger long-term setup better suited for both professional-looking video and photography.

(3) What do I intend to shoot?

  • Short cinematic-style videos outdoors, in gyms, and urban environments
  • YouTube-style talking head/content creator setups
  • Recording tattoo sessions and lifestyle content
  • Night photography, street photography, and urban shots

(4) Is it primarily for photography, videography, or both?

Both.

I’m a military veteran looking to dive deeper into photography and videography — hobbies I’ve enjoyed for a while but want to take more seriously now. I’m still very much a beginner, but I’ve been doing a lot of research and trying to learn the gear side of things. Im willing to sell my current gear to upgrade if need be.

I’ve stopped by a few used camera shops locally to get more familiar with different setups and options, but I figured I’d reach out directly since I’m looking for more detailed guidance and recommendations.
