I picked up the first three Resident Evil games in Japan. I’ve always wanted to play the classic RE games on original hardware and a CRT so the 3D models and pre-rendered backgrounds seamlessly blend together like how they were intended to look. My PAL PS2 is unmodded, I have an old Breaker Pro boot disc but it’s quite scratched and takes a few attempts to get the console to read it, and even then NTSC-J games don’t display correctly on my CRT, it squishes them to the top half of the screen. So what can I use to play Japanese games in the correct display ratio? I would prefer a soft-modded option if possible.
