I can’t stand church folk bro
Some of them literally said they were going to show up at my college unannounced because I’m not “grown”, and that same person said to their relative “those college boys are gonna see her from a mile away” as if I lack discernment and don’t know crap about myself — and given the predatory people I’ve encountered in my years and my insecurity of seeming like a predator magnet (which they know nothing about) made that comment much more offensive. They really know nothing about me and just assume “sheltered church girl” because I’m quiet and polite on Sundays. They really know nothing about my character and thinking process.
This really pissed me off but there’s no point in proving yourself to those committed to misunderstanding you.
I’m still christian but my beliefs aren’t so fear based and rigid as they were in the past, but going to church after adulthood is probably a no for me
