Why wasn't giyuu's backstory more drawn out?
I'll start with saying i like giyu so there may be some biases. And also i am not saying his backstory is the worst or the most underrated etc.
But for today i just wanted to talk about giyuu's backstory.
So for context he was an orphan like from the start, and he had his older sister who raised him in a village alone.
Then when he was probably 11, the night before her wedding they were attacked by a demon, her sister put him in a closet to hide and protect him.
After the death of Tsutako, Giyu tried to tell others that she was killed by a Demon, however, he was labeled as mentally ill and was sent away to one of his relatives, a doctor.
Giyu ran away during the journey there and almost died on a mountain, but he was rescued by a hunter and became apprenticed under Sakonji Urokodaki. And then the sabito and final selection happened.
So like why wasn't tsutako in the backstory more? (we have like 2 panels of her one of which wasnt animated) Giyuu was like the face of hashiras in season 1, but his backstory is like "one of the" least explored.
I just feel like there was a strong parallel with nezuko (a younger sibling who is protected by her older sibling) which could have been more explored and make both nezuo and giyu's character more stronger.
