hello there, I'm looking for reccomendations for a digital video camera with a stable zoom, mainly for landscapes

for pictures I currently have a canon that does the trick, and for video I even have a sony which zooms a long way, but it shakes like hell the more you zoom in.

I'm having a big trip soon and my iphone doesn't zoom much (12 pro), when I use more recent iphones they have a nice 5x zoom for landscapes. I'd like to find a camera for that since I won't be able to upgrade my phone before the trip. thanks!

(the screenshot is of a video I made using iphone 15 pro max, in a moving car, that's basically what I want, to be able to capture details in landscapes while traveling)

Budget: Around US$ 200-300 Preferably including lens if needed.

Country: Anywhere

Condition: Used preferred

Type of Camera: Camcorder or even point and shoot (leaning toward something with built-in zoom for simplicity).

Intended use: Primarily video, with some occasional photos (hybrid is fine, but video is priority).

If photography; what style: not the focus

If video what style: Landscape and details / Travel

What features do you absolutely need: Strong optical zoom (at least ~10x), Good image stabilization (very important for zoom), Decent video quality

What features would be nice to have: Compact size, Good battery life, Easy-to-use autofocus

Portability: Small bag / travel-friendly (not huge gear)

Cameras you're considering: None specifically yet, looking for recommendations. Considering something similar to a camcorder or compact zoom camera rather than interchangeable lenses.

Cameras you already have:

  • Canon EOS Rebel 2000 - Love her, great results but too big for some trips (analog)
  • Sony Cyber-shot HX1 – good reach but very shaky at high zoom
  • Lomography Fisheye2 - fun but simple (analog)
  • Praktica MTLB5 - amazing pics but impossible maintance (analog)
  • Kodak Charmera - just for fun

Notes: Main issue is shaky zoom at long distances, especially for landscapes. Looking for something that performs more like newer smartphones (stable zoom), but with better reach than an iPhone.
