Bought a toy car set from Swiggy Instamart and honestly this has been one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve had.
I ordered a Toujoo 2 Player Remote Control Bumper Battle Car Set. The listing showed a proper product with features like 2.4GHz remote control, rechargeable batteries, LED lights/music, etc.
What I received was a completely different cheap-looking product. The remote does not match the listing, the product quality is very poor, the battery compartment is loose/falling apart, it is not charging properly, and the toy is not working.
The worst part is Swiggy is now using “open box delivery” as an excuse. During delivery, the delivery guy only checked that the box was there and nothing was visibly broken. Obviously, nobody checked whether the remote frequency matched, whether the battery was charging, whether the product was original, or whether it even worked.
I shared photos and videos with customer support showing the mismatch and the issue, but instead of resolving it, they basically blamed me and refused to help.
This doesn’t feel like a normal defective product case. This feels like selling one product in the listing and delivering a different cheap copy. I’ve already raised a dispute with my Axis Bank card, and I’m planning to file a consumer complaint with the invoice, listing screenshots, photos, videos, and chat history.
Has anyone else faced this with Swiggy Instamart’s open box delivery? It feels like they are using it to deny responsibility even when the product delivered is clearly different from what was listed.
