Central Texas (please don't hold that against me!) LFG
OK... Here we go. (Warning, long)
I'm an Olde Gamer (from the 2e/THAC0 days)... and wanting to come back after many years (and some bad memories/experiences... Thank you, CriticalRole, for reminding me what TTRPGs are supposed to be.)
I'm looking to meet new friends in a start-up Campaign (not a one-shot, no Horror Theme, no Murder Hoboes, no Pay-to-play.)
I'm available 5-10pm Central US time on weekdays, & mostly any time on weekends... All Letters-friendly, no hangups (that I'm aware of 😝... except for an allergy to Extended Horror)
In prep for this, I spent a fair amount of time & love building a character in 5e - a Female Tiefling Desert Druid (mostly 2014... & some confusions with the 2024 changes.) I am *not* looking for a dedicated Desert Campaign (I want the fun of playing her as a total fish-out-of-water)
I ran her in a Local one-shot, so she's level 3 (but that group all wanted to continue with a Horror-theme except for me, so I bowed out)... I can take her back to L1 or modify as necessary.
If you require a "new" character; I'm absolutely open to that... but I'd really like to try this one.
If I sound like Not-A-Total-Nutcase, take a look at her DnDB sheet (fairly extensive Backstory & Notes...hopefully not too onerous!) ...and see if I might fit.

P.S. There was a discussion recently on the CR sub about your favorite "table"/Group... I think my comment sums up what I'm looking for:
"I've always found this a difficult question from DMs when looking for a campaign... Watching this "West Marches style" has solidified my position that I really want a blend of Everything: Combat, Intrigue, Strategy, Intimacy, Slapstick Comedy... even a touch of Horror (which I'm generally terribly allergic to.)
The Balance (to me) is what makes a great game; and watching 13 people blend this all together in the same world is thrilling... watching the different views is like watching the parable of 5-blind-men-and-an-elephant come to life!"
