I just bought a house that has a Google Nest learning Thermostat and Heatlink but the thermostat is totally bricked and cannot be used, I spent over an hour on the phone with the Google people who cant help other than. "Wait for us to start making the nest again"
I picked up a Tado X starter kit to replace the heat link and thermostat but the app says the current boiler is not compatible. Having seen videos online and looked at the connections on both the heat link and Tado. It looks like I can just swap the cables from the heat link to the tado and they all have a place to go.
So my question is, can I actually do this? Would there be any other reason the app says the Boiler isnt compatible?
For reference, the Boiler uses heating oil and is a Grant Eco Utility 15/21.
The heat link attached is wired to both the heating and hot water systems
