I’m trying to get into cybersecurity (aiming for SOC Analyst to start), but honestly I’m a bit overwhelmed and could use some real guidance from people already in the field.

I don’t want to just collect random knowledge or certifications. I want to build skills that actually matter.

If you were starting from scratch again, what would you focus on in the first 3–6 months?

Any blunt, real advice would help a lot.
