Hey ya’ll!

So I am making this pair of shorts and I did the waist band in this cute v-shape, but now I’m trying to straighten out the rows for the actual shorts but having the worst time figuring out how to make the row straight.

Should I decrease across the v? Should I increase across the v?

Any help would be super appreciate
