How to convince your mom to get married?
Hello everyone! I really need advice asap 😭
There’s this man I’m talking to and we’re both very interested in each other. I’m 25 and he’s 26 and we both live in the UK. He genuinely has every quality I’ve ever wanted in a husband, ma sha Allah. It honestly feels like I’ve met my best friend, and I truly want to marry him.
My parents know about him. After some convincing, my father is positive about it, but my mother is against it because of qabil. The thing is, qabil was never something that was emphasized growing up and it has never been an issue before now. Neither me nor him care about it, and his family knows about me and fully accepts me.
I really don’t know how to convince my mom that qabil shouldn’t matter this much. Has anyone been through something similar or has advice on how to handle this respectfully?
