I got this 1886 V nickel for $1 the other day
What would it be worth in it's current condition (NOT SELLING OVER REDDIT!)
Yes, I know that 1886 is a key date

I'm not really a mountaineer but I do have some bouldering experience and a decent bit of hiking, camping, survival and first aid experience.
I'm planning on attempting to summit Middle Teton next month and I'm looking for what gear and permits I will need?
By any chance would anyone here have any good tips?
So... I just recently got my new crono in the mail and took it out to the range
It was working fine with my 30-06 loads but it didn't was to crono my 40-70 Sharps bottleneck smokeless loads and 45-70 smokeless trapdoor loads
What did I do wrong?
I'm looking to order a front sight for my original sharps model 1874
I already have an MVA long range buffalo soule sight as you can see on photo 4 that has 88MOA of windage
The #112 would provide an additional 35 minutes at 1,000 yards
I'm going to be shooting at the Quigley match next month which goes to 805 yards and at the Montana state bpcr silhouette championship which goes out to 500 yards
So... would the #112 really be necessary or should I save my money and buy either the #113 or a front sight from Lee Shaver like the 17 series?

So... I just got a new shipment of 45-90 brass in to convert to 40-70 sharps bottleneck and the method that I am using is to convert them is:
Step 1: reform them by using my 40-70 sharps bottleneck full length sizing die
Step 2: cut them down to 2.250in using my Lyman case trimmer with power adapter and carbide case cutter head
These cases will fit in the chamber of my original Sharps model 1874
Hi, I'm looking into a trapdoor carbine (serial number 40596)
Is this gun IDd?
By any chance could anyone here share the trapdoor rifle and carbine SRS with me?
Thanks!
