I have a BFA in advertising (yeah yeah), worked in business development as a brand designer for three years before getting laid off. I took the month off before applying again, I've had solid interviews, getting to the final rounds, only to have the positions cancelled entirely.

This is a tough field to be in these days and it has nothing to do with AI. But I'd rather go back to school for something more stable, lucrative, and respected anyway.

I did my AAS at a CC so I'm hoping I can skip doing gen eds again. But I'm thinking about engineering, either comp sci or EE or mech or a combo. Not great at math but I don't hate it. I like the idea of building and coding things like robots and gadgets.

I'm 32 with ~120k net worth across savings and investments. About 550 for rent and utilities (split with friends). Trying to figure out how I'd go about doing this, trying to work full time and go to school.

What other options should I consider?
