I (40F) am barely 4 weeks along, possibly less and this is my first unwanted pregnancy. I have 3 children. I would like to have a MA at home, and made an appointment at Planned Parenthood for this Friday. However I have read that the providers there may make you take the first pill (mif) in front of them, and then you take the second pills at home one day later. However I really don't want to take them this Friday, as it will be very hard to go through it with my kids around all weekend. I'd prefer to wait until they are in school next week. I am also concerned that in general the in-person experience will stress me out.
I'm starting to think I should cancel the appointment and use something like Aid Access instead so I can control everything myself. My husband would prefer I meet with a provider in person for the meds because it feels safer to him. I could also switch the appointment to Telehealth, but in that case it's no longer covered by my insurance and why not just use Aid Access at that point. Any guidance is much appreciated. I'm located in CT.
