Mental Health Matters
Mental health matters, and we often are afraid to speak out when we struggle. This statement is fact. The signs can be confused and hard to recognize, but nonetheless they are always there. It isn’t your fault or anyone else’s for that matter they weren’t noticed. Often we struggle internally before we realize how bad it’s become, and why would it be your fault that you didn’t or couldn’t see? Sometimes things are inevitable and no matter how hard we work or try the outcome will remain the same. It feels like by the time you reach your limits is when notice actually takes effect, and coincidentally around this time words become empty and meaningless. As a result of this, I find myself spiraling deeper and deeper into the void. I don’t know who or what I am most days. A husband? A father? I barely find the energy to sustain my own life with the simplest tasks now. I struggle to eat, sleep, shower, or any other form of self care. Each day it becomes easier to answer.
