I noticed I had an extra in an alt

Hi, I had three accounts banned, one in January, one a few days ago and one today. I’ve come to realize that I have another more important account tied to the same email & phone that my third banned account had. I want to minimize the chance of that one getting banned as, again, it’s my most important one. What do I do to keep it safe?
Should I log into it from another device change the email and phone number then instantly leave or will the system immediately recognize it as me trying to get back in as the emails are the same?
Should I wait a few days or am I risking another ban?

Back in August of last year I made an alt account while on a trip, said account was made and named to look like a certain singer for the sole purpose of pranking my friend into thinking he had joined our group chat (we had invited him beforehand as a joke). This account was later removed for impersonation, which I wasn’t aware of being a rule, and thought nothing of it and returned to my main.
Everything was fine up until January of this year when my main account was banned too, I’m guessing for affiliation towards the impersonating account, so I tried appealing but it was denied. I made another, it was fine up until a few days ago where I, again, got banned. Appealed, denied, went back into an older account, banned too. Had I known the ban appeals would be THIS of a pain in the ass I wouldn’t have attempted to even joke about it.
This may not even be the cause but I don’t even know anymore. I deeply hate Instagram for how their ban appeals work, the way they don’t let you even explain yourself and most of the times don’t tell you, in detail, what you did wrong. It’s just “hey, our opinion on you (which we never gave you any chance to alter) did not change as per your appeal, for this reason your account is disabled lol”
Is there anything I can realistically do? Anyone to contact? (I don’t believe so since they don’t do that kind of thing), will I be able to ever return to Instagram or explain the misunderstanding? Will all my accounts be banned?
My friend has been looking for them for forever since apparently no one has them, we’ve managed to get 14 which means she only needs 2 more for a mega
