What to expect as a new personal trainer at a commercial gym?

I am starting as a personal trainer at a luxury commercial gym with no training experience except years of personal lifting experience and a NASM certification.

I want to test out if this job would be a good full-time career or even transition to part-time since I recently lost my corporate job. However, I am nervous because I don’t have any experience and my degree was in business.

How can I prepare and what should I expect clients to ask of me? I know it’s summer so it will likely be slow.

KPMG just had lay offs for my group but I can’t check my Outlook because I’m abroad without my work phone. I texted my manager but he won’t answer (probably an HR violation to notify me by text…). I found out because my friend texted me.

I’m worried because I just finished my project before I left on 2 weeks of PTO and even though I have a long-term project lined up for when I get back, I heard they target individuals based on project end date rather than performance (this is probably true because my peers who were laid off were good performers and my peers who are not very involved are safe).
