This is more of a "Mildly Infuriating" instead of a full on nightmare.

This is also not 5e.

Anyway, we have a person who is cursorily part of our group. He left a long time ago because he's an asshole and he cheats. He also minmaxxes to a degree none of us do. When he plays it's always the same character. It's a sorcerer or spellblade type of character, he doesn't play with the group, is always invisible, and doesn't participate in any roleplay or most combat. It's really hard to explain, but he's the problem player we all know about.

Anyway, he hadn't played with us for a few years, when we all got sick of him and the group "broke up." We restarted without him. The DM, for whatever reason, feels bad for him and likes him.

After a while, the DM said he heard we were playing and wanted to try again because no one else will play with him. We said no.

Fast forward a few months, and one of our players is moving away so we need a replacement. I request to have my son join. I get that approved, but only if the problem player joined, too

It went as well as expected, he lasted a few sessions, everyone is annoyed. He cheated, never played with us, barely talked, invisible -through-the-dungeon to aggro everything. The whole time, the DM never said anything about the rolls that were twice a high as everyone the unlimited spellt slots, the massive bonuses to every skill...

Yet, I get asked for multiple copies of my characters, and my son keeps getting called out for "math that doesn't add up" for his character, and we are told that our characters always break the rules and character guidelines.

It's not a gamebreaker, but it's freaking annoying.

Realistically, I would only use one. I like the art and idea of Incredible Creatures, but the environments in Archibald's could be useful.

I will probably end up with both, but... If you would recommend one, which would it be?

I got it a month or two ago, and then didn't use it for a while. Unfortunately, the battery died. I plugged it in, but nothing happened. I finally got it to reset and charge, soI plugged it in and it said charging, so I left it alone to charge all the way

Last night, I double checked it was charged, it struggled to turn on, but finally did. I read a bit and turned it off... But now, again, it won't even turn on. I can't reset it by holding in the power button while plugged in, either.

I only ever use the included charger.

Any thoughts on what could be wrong, or if I'm just screwed?

I've always been a fan of Roll20, but we have been playing Pathfinder through Discord basically since Covid.

My DM is only not good with tech, he's also (or because he's) a textbook luddite.

We won't use character sheets, maps or tokens (or anything).

With the "age verification" things with Discord we almost stopped completely. Luckily, it didn't go through yet, but also our dice bots have not been acting nice. Most of us are really tired of just seeing our rolls come up in a text line.

So... He won't be willing to download anything. He also (probably) won't create an account because of privacy concerns.

It would be a really tough sell to get him on anything, but I'm hoping there's something I missed that really just has virtual dice and voice chat. I'm not sure if he will be willing to run 2 programs (so dice in one and Discord the chat).

I know this is a tough ask, and I appreciate any help. Thanks!!
