Hello! I’ve had 2 healthy axolotls over 2 years now. When I went to feed them tonight, I noticed one of my guys was very bloated, a swollen cloaca (almost like a bubble), and the poor guys arm blood bruise as shown in the picture. I separated him in a tub with fresh water, and an air stone.
Aside from this and time I have no idea how else to help.

Aside from the physical issues, he seems to be acting normal (resting on bottom, going up for air, swimming around). He did not eat when I offered his worm, but it stopped trying as soon as I noticed his arm. He’s had minor swollen cloaca before, which went back to normal in a day after he passed his food.

Can anyone offer any advice at all to help poor Sprinkle? My son is devastated.
