Passenger mirror glass shakes when driving

The glass mirror on my 06 avalanche shakes when driving or over rough roads. My mirrors are the ones with the led turn signals and I am tired of looking for an oem replacement, most junkyards don’t have them or they won’t sell one or only with the whole door. I’ve wasted enough time on it. I know you can change the glass mirror so was planning on pulling it to try and fix the wobble. Was wondering if anyone else had this same problem, when I tried to research on google all I found was threads for 2014+ Silverados

Can I splice led light on switch to another pod seitch

Not sure how to explain this without it sounding confusing. I bought an oem pod light switch, I am not sure on if I can buy an oem harness similar to adding fog lights to a Silverado that didn’t have that option. I was thinking of splicing the wire to the traction control switch for the light that turns on at night I can’t remember what it’s called. I know pod light kits usually come with their own switch but I plan on replacing it with this oem switch and splicing the wire so that it turns on as well at night.

Do these go on sale?

I don’t shop at Lowe’s much, I don’t work in trades so Bauer does my ever so often tasks very well. I bought a similar one to this one at harbor freight but lost it, and was wondering if these versions of Kobalt and husky lights go on sale as well. I have already stockpiled every tool I could need and harbor freight is farther and more of a hassle than just going to pick it up at my local Lowe’s.

My 06 avalanche as far as I remember when I started driving it with 170k miles has shifted or kicked hard when shifting from 1st to 2nd when cold. Most notable when shifting under 3k rpm’s but when I start driving for a while it gradually lessens to where you can slightly feel it. ATF and filter was changed in August but still persisted. I tried to read up on probable causes but all I could find was change oil, failing sensor/solenoid or it’s too late to fix and rebuild is the only option. My question is that is there a way to check which could be the most probable reason? Or is it a wild guess where removing it is the only way to figure it out

I own a 2006 Silverado and I got a new front end and I color matched 2 trim pieces that go directly in between the headlights at the front. I know 1k takes longer than 2k but should I wait more for it to not get chipped while driving on the road? I am going to spray the clear coat today and I was thinking maybe I’d be able to put it on by Monday? And also if anyone has any advice for how to spray the clear coat please do, I’ve painted some plastic parts but they don’t need to be perfect but this I don’t want it to get orange peel or running streaks from bad application

I want to replace the muffler on my 2006 avalanche. I definitely don’t see a resonator after the muffler and it’d be a weird place to put it considering it’s a dual outlet over the axle. I saw online that the resonator could be on the air tube from the filter to the intake manifold. Am just confused because I can’t seem to find, I am not going to remove I just want to know where it is and if it’d help reduce the drone with aftermarket mufflers

I posted about a month asking about changing lifters and cam because I thought it had lifter tick. Today when I was driving it started to tick again, the tick somewhat increases during acceleration. And when I turned it back on and started driving 5 minutes after parking it the tick was Gone. This was all in the span of about 30 minutes of driving. I was going to record it after getting home but since it was gone there’s no tick to record. Am no expert but I don’t think lifter tick comes and gos. I think it may be the infamous broken exhaust manifold bolts. Is it hard to check if it’s a broken bolt? Would I try to look if it wiggles or I think someone had. Mentioned using a sound finder something like that.

This is the inside of my differential. It is a g80. I can say for certain differentials in yt videos do not look like this. Not sure if i should flush it. I am betting I shouldn’t right? Honestly have no idea when was the last time it was changed. I have vavoline 75-90 full synthetic to fill this up. My guess was the gasket sealant failed because it looks moist around those areas.

As can see on the video, the differential cover bolts are extremely tight. It’s impossible to turn with one hand from how tight it is. Not sure if I should use my impact to break it loose. My first choice is breaking it by hand. Could there be a reason as to why it’s so tight? It has no rust, in Arizona. Bunch of oil spilled out of the fill plug on a level driveway.

I know I’ll have to remove the track bar to fully remove and be able to torque the bolts when reinstalling the cover. Do I need to put my jack stands on the rear so the axle hangs? Or can I just remove it without jack stands on.

Okay so now I can post better photos of my 2006 avalanche with my new hd front end.
Very grateful for all the stuff I found and bought. Found hood, rear cubby, platinum air vents and cup holders. Replace rear passenger motor since window would fall down. Replace my rear bumper with an hd one as well. Still have a lot of stuff to do but it just looks exactly like I envisioned it. I think far into the future I’ll buy 16 inch kmcs and 33 a/ts. These snowflakes are nice since they look like f150 Shelby rims but I liked meatier tires more.

After so long it’s finally done. Finally has its front bumper back on. And finally has its HD front end. Such a milestone for myself and re ignited my love for gmt800s after sitting so long all broken down

I bought a used 2500 bumper a year ago. I didnt know it was a 2500 but I did notice it was round compared to mine that has the dents as a 1500. I painted the plastics 3 step with primer, base and clear. I was going to put the new one on but i realized the brackets are different. Tried to just switch brackets but they don’t fit either. I had to cut and grind some places to make it fit. I finally made 1 side fit but now I still have the other to do. I refuse to let it go because I put in a lot of time to make it look good again. And as advice check your brackets match before buying the bumper

I have a light up bow tie and when I took it off I forgot to store the plastic nuts and lost them. I just bought new metal ones that fit the thread and put it on my new hd front end. I think i cross threaded it. But it’s not like it’ll fall off right? Am thinking of putting super glue on the edges because I don’t want to lose it by accident

I’ve already posted here that I got new tires and it has vibrations. I bought them in January and have only put like 250ish miles on it since. At first it was only at 60mph and over that it vibrated. I then replaced the whole front suspension, everything. And took it in to get an alignment and then a rebalance for the 3rd time. Now it vibrates when accelerating from as low as 20mph and honestly everything onwards. Vibrations feel like when you hold your breath and slightly vibrations your arms. I am able to see the vibrations is in the whole truck as the back window goes with the vibrations sort of like visible wave lengths idk what to do anymore

I recently posted because I have bad camber on my wheels after an alignment. While I was installing my bumper I decided to take the wheel off and check the pins and this doesn’t looks right to me. Compared next to the level, it’s bad. Should I retake it for a correct alignment? This was my last alignment before my 1 year expired. Am supposed to pay again the next time but this looks really bad to which I think I shouldn’t have to pay for it again considering the camber

Okay I need some advice now, I am trying to put the valance on my avalanche and I used some clips that someone recommended from a yt video but it doesn’t work, and also tried the assortment clips from harbor freight and nothing works, it just sags. Can I buy screws and nuts to mount it to the bumper? I can probably get the nuts and screw for cheap at tractor supply. Has anyone used screws instead of clips?
