Move to Australia or save up more?
Soo, as the title says, I am deciding whether I should save up more before moving to Australia or move immediately?
For context, mining engineer ako and just recently granted subclass 190 for NSW last month. Nagaapply ako through online (Seek, LinkedIn), pero mukang mas gusto nila na nasa Aus na, regardless kung may full working rights na.
So, to immediately find a job sa Aus, plano kong mag flight sometime from September to November this year para doon ako maghanap ng trabaho.
I am single so no added complications, mas madaling magmigrate.
Asking advice on these questions po, maraming salamat sa makakatulong:
How much cash do i need before moving? Plano ko magipon around 150k to cover my stay for a few months (maki stay ako sa pinsan ko rent free for first 3 months to help me find a job). Is that enough? I plan to find minimum wage jobs immediately naman, d ko plano magtambay.
Should i move immediately? I have a stable job here in the Phils. But, everyone i ask advice keeps on saying na madaming trabaho sa Aus and significantly better pay and quality of life kahit na minimum wage lang. Is this true? My date of first entry is on or before April 2027.
If you advice that I find a mining job first before migrating, do you have any recommended recruiters I can contact? Moving for a job is more stable after all, but it could take longer and it may never come if I stay here.
