Just wanted to share my experience ordering an Omega bracelet.

This year, I bought a 145.022 with a leather strap on it. Did some research on aftermarket options, but ultimately decided to call my local Omega boutique just for an estimate. I gave them my serial #, and they used their database to match it to a 1171/1 bracelet with 633 end links. According to the boutique, it’s the original bracelet for the serial + ref number. I went ahead and ordered it, then came in 12 days (they noted 2-4 weeks, but it was faster).

The boutique asked for $560. Brand new! They installed & sized it as well. Great experience. IMO, it’s worth saving a bit more to get an original omega bracelet.

I’ve read certain newer bracelets are not as comfortable, have no micro adjustments, or don’t taper. Can’t speak enough on the quality of this 1171- silky smooth, light, and so comfortable to wear. And the vintage bracelet jingle is a real thing! It’s awesome! No regrets saving a bit more to buy a genuine bracelet. Completely transforms the watch.

Hi 👋

Diamond/Jewelry noobie here. I’m upgrading the engagement ring I bought my wife. It’s from our college days, so it’s pretty small (0.6 carats was all I could afford in 2016, lol).

Now, im looking to get her 2.5 to 3 carats and she really likes Dutch Marquise. I can’t currently find a vendor other than Steinhardt who has them in stock (hear mixed reviews on them). Looking to spend around $500-$2000 on the diamond alone..We plan on buying the lab diamond online & doing the setting separately with someone custom & local.

Any other online recommendations? I tried Aurelline, but can’t navigate the search- it only shows regular Marquise. Also, any pitfalls to look out for with this cut?

Thanks!
