A-typical healing

Does anyone here have experience with a-typical (delayed) healing??? I am 5 months post op from a partial replacement and still have deep, intense pain when activating my quad muscles. Strength and stability have come back (mostly). I also have deep, aching pain around the outside of my inner knee. It sometimes also feels like that sensation of stepping on a Lego, and that makes my knee buckle. I saw my surgeon today. The X-rays look great even to me so he ordered a CT scan for my own peace of mind. He said there's a small amount of patients that experience delayed healing, and my pain type and location seems to support that possibility.

Curious what others have gone through with this, and if there was anything you did (or didn't) do that helped. I have a history of being an "interesting" orthopedic patient so this whole situation honestly isn't too surprising, just insanely frustrating.
