[Japanese > English] Need help confirming an omitted subject in a long fantasy lore sentence.

The story is explaining the lore of supreme, god-like beings called "Unique Species." The First Pillar is a being named "S" who killed most of the others. This specific passage is talking about another being named "Dusk Mikaboshi."

My Current Breakdown:

  • Sentence 1: For example, "The Twilight Star" Dusk Mikaboshi was originally "The Star of Karma," Amatsu-Mikaboshi.
  • Sentence 2: According to genesis myths, [Subject] was an amalgamation of the lingering regrets of gods of destruction who endlessly repeated the destruction and recreation of the world, but currently, it seems [Subject] was pinned to the heavens by S and has become a constellation.

My Question:
Because of the zero pronoun/omitted subject in the second sentence, I want to be 100% sure about who is doing what.

Is it completely safe to assume that the omitted subject for the entire second sentence is Mikaboshi? (i.e., Mikaboshi was the mass of dead gods, and Mikaboshi was the one pinned to the sky by S). Or is the grammar somehow implying that the "mass of dead gods" is a separate entity that got pinned?
