I just started at csuf this past year and I’ve noticed that the BA students in theatre have no chance participating in a lot of things.

My whole time here so far has been less enriching than at community college. Especially since they won’t let me transfer most of my art courses over, so I’m stuck taking the same classes I took at a cc.

Classes for the performing arts are extremely hard to get into as you need professor permission and some shows are limited only to the BFA’s.

It’s extremely hard to stay motivated while watching other BFA students getting opportunities like New York trips, Specialized classes/workshops, and guaranteed shows spots. It’s also extremely isolating as a student in the arts here.

Now with the IRA cuts I’m concerned that they BA’s might have even less then before. Does anyone else feel this way??
