im 22, studying for a standardized exam & taking a few credit hours (which i did not disclose to boss). Im a certified nurse aide & a while ago i asked to work up to 8-16 hrs/wk next month, as my previous 32 hrs were a bit much. i suddenly have more free time/reduced class hours & want to ask boss if they can somehow add me on the schedule a bit more, only for certain days.
Or is it too much to choose which additional days to work? The schedule's already up and so they may already have ppl committed to working/have new hires. on occasion im asked i can cover a shift but it's often on days im unavailable. Recently disappointed boss by calling out a shift & canceling a cover shift last minute due to illness also. Don't want to be a bother as they're very busy but I unfortunately am never certain of my schedule due to my other obligations
