What's a good activity to base "I walk around a lot, bash large metal tentpegs with sledgehammers, carry heavy things, etc" on? GPS not needed* and wanting it to be fairly battery light for an activity.
Several times a year I'm part of the volunteer crew for setup, takedown, and various things in between at a festival.
With my Instinct 2S Solar, my experience is that despite it telling me I've walked ~ 90 miles in the last six days (my average is about 70 a week, 40ish actively tracked), I've got much fewer activity minutes - because I'm not tracking the many hours of movement and activity.
Both with these events and other stuff, it feels like it's good at going "Hey! Your heart rate is up, you're doing stuff!" when told to look for it, okayish at auto-tracking a longer walk with little in the way of breaks, but bad for anything stop-start - and this sort of setup has a lot of pauses.
I'm guessing Walk with GPS off might work, but anything else particularly good? I suspect some of my 'steps' are actually sledgehammer swings; I'm okay with that, but better recording whilst still being low effort and not drain the battery too massively over six long days. (Fine with it needing a recharge at some point over that time, but not every day).
*Might be nice to have 'light' GPS recorded to see how far I get to different places - pinging it less often. But not as a measure of how far I've gone.
