Could an insect husk be preserved inside a hollow fossil in devonian limestone?
I recently found a hollow small fosillized shell in devonian limestone and by accident I cracked it open and a small insect husk fell out (pictures are of the exoskeleton). In the last drawn picture is how the fossilized shell that had white color looked. It had no hole however it seems very unlikely an insect husk has been preserved so well from that long ago. So im thinking that maybe a small insect crawled inside through a small crack and died inside that shell somehow.
The fossil was hidden in a limestone wall and I found it by cracking open a chunk of limestone but there were many cracks. Other fossils I found were Bivalvia and Bryozoa and the place I found it was Teplice nad Bečvou in Moravia in Czech republic.
I also wanted to ask how I could identify said insect, although its probably impossible.
