I wanna share my top 10 favorite Grimes songs with you guys. I wanna know you guys’ opinions, your favorites and probably some recommendations too, as well.
I wanna share with you guys my concept of how I would have done Grimes’ MA Era, and I wanna know what you guys think of my idea. I also want you guys to share with me ideas of how you guys would it (your own version), how you think Grimes should have it, and key takeaways/things you learned from the Album and Era.
Concept & Logic: I would have done a standard 18-track album, with 4 different versions: Standard, Cinematic — with the songs “Ærythe” and “Mars (Theme)” book-ending the album as an intro and outro and also all the tracks would have cinematic sonic engineering and simulated environments, to mimic the setting that the song would take place in, since my concept is literary-heavy/would be a story — Instrumental, and Rave/Remixed Edition (we’ll talk about this separately in a future discussion since everyone was disappointed by this album, as well). I would follow this album with a smaller, 8-track, bubbly & highly-collaborative/feature-heavy album featuring all the a. unused songs, b. additional light-side/pop songs, and c. songs that just did not fit the album conceptually and sonically.
