A full circle moment
What a masterpiece to see in IMAX!! Never would I have imagined this would’ve made it back into theaters, let alone IMAX!
I remember when this movie first came out in 2008. I wish I was able to see it as a kid in theaters but never got the chance to. I knew that I was never going to be able to see it in theaters again, especially with the criticisms when it first came out. So, I waited for it to appear on cable to see when and where to watch it each time. I even had the bed sheets of the Grand Prix, the toy Mach 6 that opened/lit up, and of course the DVD.
Now 18 years later (and as an adult), having that wish as a kid has finally came true. This feels like a special gift for my younger self and I owe it to him.
Now, if they do a 20th anniversary re-release (they better), I will see y’all here again!
