The first time I watched this scene, I thought the machete was going to cut her in half, but it looked like Jason hit her with a baseball bat because he threw her far away.

Today, this filming location has completely transformed. What was once a real gun shop is now Bright Star Auto Sales, a used car dealership. Step inside, however, and you’ll still find traces of the film’s history: the original gun safes remain, and the large safe in the back (once filled with weapons) now serves as a storage room. No plasma rifles... but still a pretty cool piece of sci-fi history hidden in plain sight.
