My husband thinks i am overthinking things too much, but i honestly beg to differ. For a little context, my husband parent spoils my kids with a lot of gifts and presents, which i honestly do ot mind, i can understand the need to dot on one's grandkids, but what I have a problem is the pattern of gender role supportive gifts. I kinda feel like the gifts are suggestively preparing my girls for roles of housekeeping, cooking, and cleaning, while the boys get to play as much as they want and with how these gifts are packaged on online stores like alibaba and temu. My husband and sisters think I am overthinking it, especially since my girls receives the gift with so much gusto and happiness, i guess they are still too innocent to realize the roles that are being placed on them and i feel the need to protect them from any society pressure irrespective of who it comes from
