Please stop texting and driving!
I was riding shotgun into town from golden to Santa Fe on 6th Ave. 6th was busy but rolling at a steady 60-65 the whole way. I counted drivers I saw physically holding their phones texting or fucking around with them on a windshield mount in their direct line of sight. Out of probably 100 cars passed I counted 30 who were texting. I’m not a mathematician but that’s 30%, which I have also witnessed fist hand riding motorcycles where I can see into every car and am looking for drivers who are about to kill me.
Tesla at the stop light was playing a video game in landscape mode with both hands and didn’t set the phone down when the light turned green. STOP TEXTING ON YOUR FUCKING PHONES WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING. I ride motorcycles and it’s a daily occurrence to almost get pancaked.
Every police speed trap should throw their radar guns in the trash and look for drivers on their phones.
ps. please don’t turn this into a Tesla discussion, your car can’t drive itself, and if you think it can please go down to million dollar highway, put a blindfold on, and have it drive you to silverton. I’ll have the tow truck ready.
