I’m writing this because I want to support a very dear friend of mine. She is a talented independent writer living with a disability, which currently prevents her from working a traditional job.
Writing is her life and her passion. She has three projects ready: two novels and a poetry book. While publishing on Amazon KDP is technically free, the costs to make a book actually "readable" and professional (editing, formatting, and cover art) are way out of her reach.
She’s been trying to raise funds on her own by sharing her progress and illustrations, but she hasn't received any donations yet. It’s heartbreaking to see her so discouraged because she puts her heart and soul into every page.
My dream is for her to see that people actually care about her art. I want her to have the chance to finally see her name on Amazon and professionalize her career as an author.
