I’m on a drug holiday and I kinda like it?

I’ve been taking 50mg for almost 9 months and decided to stop a week ago. There was zo much dizziness and tiredness that I went down to 40mg but the side effects stayed unfortunately.

I stopped last weekend and I feel good? Slept for 9 hours and took naps in the first 3 days. Now I take coffee and l-theanine to focus, which kinda works. Will stop for another 5 days and go back on 40mg because I’d have to go to the office on Monday the 18th. I know it’s really hard to focus without meds and it has cost me several jobs.

But I do feel more myself now. More feelings, more appetite, laughing more and being the genuine version of me. Random dancing, making random plans. Enjoy music more but also have the downsides of course. I would love to take a break more often.

How do you all when you take a break from the meds? And how does it feel to start again after 2 weeks?

Vyanse 50mg and 40mg makes me both so tired and dizzy that I’ll quit for a week. I go back to my prescriber for advice in a few weeks on what to do next.

Any advice for rawdogging life with adhd again? God I am not ready to go to work on Monday being distracted and becoming stressed by everything. But I did noticed that coffee and l-theanine work quite ok.

I’ve been dizzy for more than a month on 50mg. Switched to 40mg two weeks ago and still dizzy (a bit less then on 50mg).

Could this be caused by the blood vessels constricting?

I do sports 4x a week, don’t drink alcohol, eat healthy and take all kinds op supplements (zinc, magnesium, fish oil, vitamin b + d). I also drink a lot of water and take my electrolytes daily. Heart rate is way more calm on 40mg compared to 50mg. But the dizziness and tiredness is so draining.

Any advice is much appreciated!
