Hello !
After a short bit of thinking to myself I think I have the basics of the story and concept for my fan made poppy x fnaf game concept in mind so I will slowly but surely start posting those !
Before I start, I'd like to remind everyone that this little project was inspired by @zinoartisfino on X ! They are still working on making art of their own poppy Au and I would love for all of you to check out the work they do as it is amazing ! So keep in mind that some things I do or say might be somewhat similar to what they did create, it is in no way malicious or in an attempt to steal, this project is only for me to have fun and work on writing/designing. I don't have the pretension of calling myself a pro so bear with if it's a little scuffed.
Anyway, now that this is out of the way...
WELCOME ONE AND ALL ! Welcome to Poppy's Pizza Playground ! A place where imagination, wonders and dreams alike come to life !
This au will take place over many years timeline wise as I work through the story and design as well as the theoretical gameplay. So, our story will begin in the year of 1968 where Elliot Ludwig a genius inventor decided to bring wonders to the world, and what better ways to do it than through pizzas and robots ?
He created a small but relatively ingenious restaurant that he named "Poppy's Pizza Playground" where children could be free to have fun and eat however they'd like for a pretty affordable price. However PPP's (that's how I'll talk about the restaurant in most posts so get used to it ahaha) wasn't a simple pizzeria, it had something that no other restaurant had, it had a soul, quite literally in some cases. Said soul was Poppy Playtime, a beautifully simple animatronic doll no bigger than a child, she was the main attraction back then and the reason for the restaurant's success, she could sing, she could dance and she could interact with the audience, answering questions and fulfilling requests! She was a success and Elliot was so proud of her, she was like a second daughter to him. After only two years in the business it was made clear that the company was becoming something bigger than Elliot ever anticipated, he was delighted to bring so much happiness to kids all over. Which is where his most brilliant idea to date came up. An orphanage, he wanted to bring joy and comfort to children but most orphans would never experience the joy of seeing Poppy or eating a slice of pizza at his place. He wanted to be the reason for those orphan's happiness. So he created something new, he invested into a new building, a bigger building on top of the old one. A combination between an orphanage and a restaurant ! The brand new and improved Poppy's Pizza Playground, a way bigger restaurant that doubles as a state of the art orphanage which will for the most part be at the back of the building where the public cannot access.
It will take the new restaurant a whole year to be properly finished which will give Elliot as well as a few new co-workers (some of which we will talk about in the future) quite a bit of time to work on the improvement of the brand and it's appeal. Amongst other things it led to the creation of quite a few new mascots, each of which will have their own posts to talk about their gameplay as well as their story as they all have unique lore. But what matters is that the company was ready to re-open with a brand new building and brand new characters ! Everything was perfect for Poppy's and it stayed this way for another couple of years before it all inevitably started to fall to pieces...
Which is something I'll write about later. This is but a basic introduction to the universe and to two of it's main players, Elliot Ludwig and Poppy Playtime, there will be plenty of writing about the lore intertwined with gameplay and design elements so keep on the lookoutfor that ! Before I close off on this post I'd like to thank those that seemed interested in this little project of mine and welcome all of you to talk about it amongst yourselves or with me if you want to help ! I am FAR from a pro storyteller or anything creative, this is just for fun. In any case :
