Dzone rotation mechanics overview, week of 5/11
Hello, rain from discord here. Overview this week is a bit late as I was traveling, only managed to finish my tide this afternoon.
But as always, the intention for this post is to serve as an overview on the current Dzone Rotation boss, I will cover their basic mechanics and potential counters to help any players attempting higher alert clears. This guide is for the week of 11 May 2026 Dzone rotation.
special thanks to the team at Mythag University for their effort in making the enemy stat card, link below:

Wave 1: Blessor, relic: Butterfly Speciment
Following the previous week shift, W1 has gotten significantly harder, with Blessor on W1. He has 1053K Hp per bar and 3 Hp bars, netting a total of over 3mil Hp. Now the good news is that, blessor has 63K old embers, making his effective hp much lesser than it seems. In case you are wondering, enemy with old embers will basically take 4x damage until its completely removed, and it resets every turn.
Her rotation goes something like this:
Please refer to the attached image on “Blessor” for moveset
Exploration Note:
- There is only 1 must fight mob wave before the boss, but you will need to go through a blue puddle
- The mobs are mostly the bug enemies, some of their triple hit intentions can be nullified by critting them.
- A lot of the enemies(including the boss fight) likes to reduce your crit rate, so having over-capped crit or crit buff would help alot in this wave
Battle Note:
- Blessor starts the fight by summoning 2 bug mobs that does a reduce crit rate intention, so again, have some form of crit rate buff or overcap your crit
- Blessor’s main damage move is his Poison spike scatter, this move does reduced damaged based on how much shield you have, so More shield = Less damage taken
- Note that this move also poison you for 10% of the his damage, so once again More shield = Less poison taken
- Lastly, poison spike also double triggers your DR, so DR is alot less effective in this fight despite blessor mainly do single hits
- On depletion of each health bar, blessor will summon a “First Variant” and gain 80% temporary fortify to deter you from continuing your burst
- “First Variants” will give Blessor a stack of temporary madness (increasing his hit count by 1 for the turn), so avoid killing them on the turn blessor is doing his poison spikes
- On his “Dormancy” turn, blessor takes double damage, so use this to your advantage.
- Basically, any unit that can shield consistently on blessor’s poison spike turn can trivialise this boss, but do take note blessor also inflict vulnerability to you, so having a cleanse option is helpful too.
- Recommended units: Kath, Castor, Salvador
- remember the relic this wave give you shield on the rouse option too
Potential strategy against this guy:
- Tank Kath: Tank kath with feast and will/land to maximise shield generation, maybe bring along horla for more shield and another shielder. You will realise Blessor will not be able to do anything to you with the amount of shield you pump out. Just take note of the vulnerability and temp madness
Replay: 53d1f7a2-e4de-32dc-abad-d8d5bd652c09#E#a
- Vortice: The reason Vortice is good into this is because a few reasons, for example her pursuit can easily proc all the old embers, divine white stance shield can effectively mitigate most of the poison spike damage, and of course the fact that you can utilise blessor’s temporary fortify to your advantage and Vortice exalt to delete one of his health bar immediately.
Replay: :d7683a8a-49d7-35ce-aaf8-c6a0b8cdb799#E#a
- Castor (with or without Pollux): Castor has a lot of shields, that's enough of a reason why this works. Bring any of erica/horla/aggripa for even more shields
Replay: 62a221ab-210d-3740-9994-013b40d9b9fe#E#a
You can also do this wave with any hyper invested solo shielder that can dps, for example sanga, erica . Thou this is more dependent on your own account

Wave 2: Wax Couple, relic:Agate
W2 this time is the Wax couple. But fortunately, it's the weaker version of them, without the broken 10 hit. Mr Lawrence has 1032K hp while the big skirt has 775K hp.
Her rotation goes something like this:
Please refer to the attached image on “Mr Lawrence” for moveset
Exploration Note:
- There are 3 must fight mob waves, including 1 elite before you can face the boss
- The elite of this wave is the dimensional hole boss, which will split into 2 when fall below half hp. You can make use of this intention change to mitigate some of his damage while setting up for boss fight
- Relic this wave is very good for characters that can do alot of multihit, for example mochette and pickman
Battle Note:
- Ms Large skirt doesn't do too much to you, her damage is mediocre, with the only annoying gimmick being stuffing wax into your deck, which isn't that much of a concern for the boss fight itself, just need to watch out for hand space
- Mr Lawrance is a downgrade of the gentlemen elite, he only have 3 intentions, the first being a simple 2 hit, but you have to pay a bit of attention for the other 2 intentions
- His second intention is a buff that give him str and 4 stacks of barrier, but also move him to the front, opening up himself to incoming damage. So having multihit is very important
- His third intention moves himself to the back, while applying a big bleed to you. Having some form healing can help you with this
- Due to this fight being a two target fight, having a dps that do aoe damage will be optimal
Potential strategy against this guy:
- Mouchette: Relic is extremely powerful on mouchette because of how much she multihits. In addition, a level 70 mouchette can also one turn the boss after intentional procing some DR.
Replay: 942256a7-de45-3c7a-9600-65586c7f982c#E#a
- Pickman + exalt carry: Similar to mouchette, pickman can make use of the relic very well. Combo him with a Exalt-Str scaling dps like sorel or doresain, and you would see some really good damage. Pickman is even better in this case due to there are 2 target for him to str steal.
Replay:1419ca31-d091-3251-8962-059f8880d822#E#a
Alternatively, castor pollux team or even vortice team can also do this wave fairly easily, but they don't utilise the relic as well
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wave 3: Devouring Howl, relic:Suitcase
W3 is a counter shill wave, bring out your best counter team here, or, be like me and bring out your half ass arachne wanda caecus comp and live life on the edge. The doggo has 737K hp and a single health bar.
Her rotation goes something like this:
Please refer to the attached image on “Devouring Howl” for moveset
Exploration Note:
- This is wave 3, so its straight to the boss
Battle Note:
- Doggo doesn't have any complex gimmick, he just hits more and more times as the fight progress, so both counter and str down are very effective. So wanda, Xu etc
- This wave is made for counter, if you have a built caecus, he can basically solo carry the wave with arachne support. Alternatively, you can also try to do arachne dps with wanda supporting.
Potential strategy against this guy:
- Arachne Wanda Caec: Can work without wanda if your caec is decently built, and if you have built wanda but not caec, can also consider using nautila. The idea is simple, rouse caec to start building counters. Survive with heals and white stance, build up arachne execute when you can and watch the doggo kill itself
Replay: 099955bd-e501-38fe-8d3c-35258d869ac3#E#a
- Gdoll Poison/Xu Poison: As always, Gdoll poison or Xu poison work very well into W3, all you need is some survivability in the form of DR or shield. Bring lotan along too if you don't want to use Xu here, for that additional %max health damage.
Replay:dfbc2b64-d9c2-396a-965d-006732d1d133#E#a
Other form of dps like Ghelot or mouchette should work into this wave too, since the boss have quite low max hp. But the multihit does make DR a bit less useful.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wave 4: Faros, relic:Rabbit foot
W4 is awakener boss faros. Good news is that her hp is pretty tame with only 657K hp in phase 1 and 985K in phase 2. Bad news is, she is another tentacle boss, so she's gonna murder you with tentacles by like turn 7
Her rotation goes something like this:
Please refer to the attached image on “Primordial Devoutee” for moveset
Exploration Note:
- The two elite before faros are relatively simple, but they do hit really hard, so just go ham on them
Battle Note:
- Faros has a bunch of gimmicks, with the main thing being her tentacles. She gains 1 tentacles at the end of each turn, these tentacles slap you every turn, which means she ramps her damage up incredibly fast.
- Her second gimmick is her deep currents, which apply some stacks of poison to you with each tentacle hit. This is scary on paper, but the thing is, she's already killing you with just the tentacles, the poison on top of the raw tentacle damage is sort of overkill most of the time.
- Her “Lost City of Lemuria” gives her debuff immunity, so don't do bother applying weakness or vulnerability
- She has one more gimmick which is called “Faint Candlelight", this debuff give you 15% reduced base damage for each stack. So if you are playing some form of base damage scaling awakener like Ghelot or kath, you don't want to stack this up too high, but if your not playing dps that rely on base damage, it doesnt matter as much.
- Candlelight is upgraded to “Light of the Lost” upon phase change, which reduces base damage by 30% instead, but as an upside, everytime you deal damage, you reduce poison stack on you by 4.
- But once again, faros is already killing you with raw tentacle damage, so the poison curing gimmick doesn't really matter most of the time on high difficulty, for lower difficulty thou, it can be helpful to stall out the fight longer.
- It should also be noted faros’s “Ocean of Eltation” in phase 2 apply vulnerability to you, making the poison even less relavant.
Potential strategy against this guy:
- Gmurphy: Highly recommended for this wave. Faros phase 2 hits pretty hard, so i would recommend to just skip the entire second phase with Gmurphy lemurian. With aequor image relic this week, even an E3 Gmurphy will be able to do this wave, no OE needed.
Replay: 1c054996-b36e-3c86-80e6-d0f02f2bf08e#E#a
- Arachne Ghelot: Ghelot can make use of arachne’s buff really well, especially the huge damage amp you get from her exalt. Even though faros reduces the base damage of ghelot, the base damage scaling from her rouse and arachne’s damage amp buff make the damage still very respectable. The retain on all of ghelot’s cards also makes it easier to trigger arachne pursuit.
The key is to not let faros stack second candlelight on you.

Mouchette also works for this wave, but tentacle makes DR procing a lot harder to control, will need some precise control.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wave 5: Arachne, relic:Spring festival
W5 is the latest chapter awakener boss Arachne. Shes the first awakener boss to bring the ultra space mechanic and is easily the hardest wave this rotation. She has 1016K in phase 1 and 15242K in phase 2. Keyflare and handsize wheel is extremely important for this fight.
Unfortuantely, theres no boss compendium page for arachne yet, so i will just write it down in text
Her rotation goes something like this:
- Exalt: gain str,put 2 copies of random command cards into her ultra space and shuffle 2 wounds into your deck.
- Eternal Weave: Deal 1 hit of massive damage, apply x stack of vulnerability, where X = number of cards in her ultra space
- Infinite Thread: Deal X+1 instance of small damage, where X = number of cards in her ultra space
- Fate’s Web: apply 2 stack of void and weakness, heal 10% missing health, put the 2 left most cards in her ultra space on top of your draw pile, then add put 1 copy of random command card into her ultra space
- Infinite Thread: Deal X+1 instance of small damage, where X = number of cards in her ultra space
Phase Change: put 2 copies of random command cards into her ultra space and whenever a card leaves her ultra space, apply sabotage to it(Deal damage to you when you play it). Now her exalt intention copy 3 card instead, and shuffle 3 mutations instead of wound.
Her phase 2 rotation is mostly same as phase 1
Exploration Note:
- There are only 2 must fight mob waves before the boss, and its recommended to go to the boss directly after that to avoid the more annoying mob fights.
Battle Note:
- Arachne gimmick is very complicated if you want to read the whole thing, but it can be simplified as such:
- The first card played each turn enters Arachne’s ultra space.
- Each card in her ultra space reduces your handsize by 1 and buff all her intentions. Thus handsize wheel is very important for this fight
- When her ultra space is filled completely and you play a card, she act immediately, then changes her intention to her exalt
- You can posse to remove a card from the ultra space and place it on top of your deck
- The core idea of this fight is to just posse as much as possible to avoid arachne from filling her ultra space, so having alot of keyflare to spam posse is very helpful
- Alternatively, you can try to kill her before her gimmick becomes relavent
Potential strategy against this guy:
- Vortice: Vortice team already want to spam posse alot, which plays into the arachne gimmick pretty well. But you do need to pay attention to which card you are putting into her ultra space to avoid bricking your draws.
Replay: af0b3996-f272-36f9-8bf4-a72e3f20e956#E#a
- Mouchette: Borrow a whale mouchette, and just go ham on arachne, kill her before her gimmick becomes relavant. Watch how angbak does this will a whaled mouchette, a keyflare bot and 2 units with no wheels.
Replay: eeced0aa-0189-3da9-8075-a2d4843e2945#E#a
Alternatively, you can also do Gmurphy lemurian this wave. Invested Gmurphy lemurian with image relic trivialise every boss this week, so you can plan accordingly.
That's all for this week, have fun doing tides! Do let me know if there are any mistake
