There are very few recorded tornados in the remote region of Yakutia. I found this path just south of the Vilyuy Dam, around 158 km southwest of Mirny.

What makes me believe this scar to be of tornadic origin is it's lack of repsect for topography. There are lots of patches of light vegetation in the area, though they usually follow streams, rivers, and cliffsides. This path, however, moves right across streams. The topography of the path varies in a way that rules out it being a cliff or a landslide.

There's only 2 high-res snapshots of the scar, one from 2005 and the other from 2025. Satellite imagery shows it's presence since at least 1992 (as far back as Google Earth has saved imagery of the region). It becomes more obscure with each passing year.

If this truly is the path of a tornado, then it must've been rather strong (maybe EF2> to cause that level of tree damage), and possibly one of the strongest in the Yakutia region.
