My parents have forgotten about me my entire life and don’t care about any of my achievements. Recently I got into Durham uni and they didnt even give me a hug. I tell my dad I got an A… he wants an A*.
Then, my birthday came. My dad totally forgot. He told me he forgot to get me anything and just gave me some cash. My mum gave me cash too. They forgot to buy me birthday cake.
My mum forgot to do my student finance application stuff too. And then told me she was stressed when I reminded her.
When my parents split up, she didn’t apply for financial help for months and months and I spent ages coming home and just sleeping so I could forget how hungry I was. And her excuse for all of it was that she was lost.
She didn’t even let me apply for a bursary at my college so I got absolutely no money.
I really wish they cared about me
