Hi, I’m just looking for some general legal perspective while I wait on results.

I had about 5 vodka tonics over roughly 3.5–4 hours. Shortly after my last drink (around 10–15 minutes), I was pulled over and did a roadside breath test (PBT) that showed 0.12.

At the station, I wasn’t able to complete the official breath test due to “interference,” so they obtained a warrant and did a blood draw about 2–2.5 hours later.

From a legal or practical standpoint, I’m trying to understand:

In situations like this, where a PBT is taken shortly after drinking and the blood test is later, do results tend to come back higher or lower, or is it truly case-by-case?

How much weight is typically given to the early PBT versus the later blood result?

I understand no one can give exact predictions — just trying to get a general sense of how these situations are viewed.

Thank you.

Hey everyone, just looking for some real experiences while I wait on my results.

I went out and had about 5 vodka tonics over roughly 3.5–4 hours. Pretty shortly after my last drink (maybe 10–15 minutes), I got pulled over and did a roadside breath test (PBT) which came back 0.12.

At the station, I couldn’t complete the official breath test (it kept saying interference), so they ended up doing a blood draw about 2–2.5 hours later.

I’m just wondering:

👉 Has anyone been in a similar situation where their PBT was taken shortly after drinking, but their blood test was done a couple hours later?

👉 Did your blood result come back higher or lower than the PBT?

I know everyone is different, just trying to hear real experiences while I wait — this waiting part is brutal.

Thanks 🙏
