Hey everyone, I’ve been hardstuck between high Gold and Platinum for almost a year now, and I’m trying to figure out what I’m missing to reach Diamond.

My peak is Diamond 1.

I mainly play solo queue, and I’m an Omen main (Phoenix is my secondary). I have over 3000 hours in the game. My setup is decent, but I do play on a mid-range laptop.

The main issue is inconsistency. Some days I hit really good Omen plays and clutch rounds, but other days I feel completely off. Even after warming up, my aim doesn’t feel reliable, and I don’t really consider myself an “aimer” since VALORANT is my first PC FPS.

I also tend to avoid taking too many fights. It’s not always fear, but I’ll often take a duel and back off if I feel like I might lose. Because of that, my KD looks okay, but my ADR and ACS are low. I also feel like I end up playing a lot of retake situations instead of having early impact.

One big weakness is communication. I know I should comm more, but I hesitate a lot (I play on NA servers). I often have ideas about what the team should do or what the enemy might do, but I don’t say them out loud. Interestingly, when I’m last alive, I feel much more confident making decisions and I clutch fairly often.

I genuinely feel like my game sense is at least around Diamond level, but I’m struggling to convert that into consistent performance and rank up.

Here are my tracker: darkSTORM#1460 (tracker link wasn't working for some reason so I added username)

Any advice on what I should focus on (aim, positioning, confidence, communication, etc.) would really help. Thanks!
